Dungeonism is a turn-and-tile-based dungeon crawler. It’s not quite a roguelike, but it is rogue-ish.

Taking equal inspiration from Pac-Man and Temple of Apshai, Dungeonism combines the strategies of turn-based RPGs and tile-based arcade games into a single unique gameplay style. It is engrossing enough to be played for hours, but its turn-based rhythm makes it easy to play in short bursts.

Pros and cons of Dungeonism app for iPhone and iPad

Dungeonism app good for

Simple but strong and addictive gameplay mechanisms Menus and level selection are a bit confusing but the game in itself is catchy and challenging Could easily get 5 stars but I need to play more and see if it lives up to its standards (some gameplay mechanisms may become frustrating in the long run, will see..)
Buy it, Play it its worth your Time and Money. 4 Stars because no native Support of my iPad. Please, dear Dev. IPad Support World be nice. Game runs flawless on my 3GS.
This game is unreal. Possibly my favorite RPG on the iphone. However, I am finding the spell management cumbersome and would love to see an easier way to choose which spells are replaced when learning a new spell in a future update.
I cant believe no one reviewed this yet!! Its an incredibly fun game and it has the right amount of challenge so far. Im looking forward to finishing it soo!
Im surprised there arent any ratings for this little gem yet! This is an awesome little Roguelike (theyre calling it Rogue-ish, but the key elements are there), right up there with iOS mainstays like 100 Rogues. Weird, wonderful graphics really make this feel true to its ASCII roots, but the sharp design is right at home on retina. The controls are top notch - this is very playable one-handed without much worry of a fatal accident. And while its as tough as youd hope, the per-stage checkpoints make pick-up-and-play sessions not just possible, but rewarding as youre always able to contribute toward the main goal (no permadeath, purists!). Ive barely scratched the surface and already my $1.99 feels well spent. Hard not to recommend, if youre a die-hard for these types of games. You know who you are. Great work, devs (and the trailer is hilarious)!
After a few hours this is already my favorite roguelike on iOS. Great visual style, music and gameplay. No permadeath but if you die in a level you lose everything you found in that level and have to restart; a good compromise. 5/5 easily.

Some bad moments

two stars for the visuals, otherwise theres nothing that kept me playing past the 3rd dungeon.
I hope this game gets the attention and love it deserves! Awesome job Jeff! Ive played for hours, addicted.
This is a curious little gem. It gives you enough information to get started, but leaves the rest up to you to discover. So far it plays quite simply, and its made so due to the excellent controls. Great fun and highly enjoyable.
Been waiting for a game like this for a long time. Worth every penny( all 199 of them)!
Combining an original art style with classic rpg elements makes this great to pick up and play for a quick session, or a longer playtime.
I bought this game on a whim and I LOVE IT!!! Graphics are really cool and its really easy to just pick up and play. Definitely recommend!
